Description
This is a ledger stone from 1704, commemorating John Mitchell, a yeoman who passed away in that year. The stone is made of slate and is rectangular in shape, featuring a marginal inscription along with a central panel that has an incised floral motif and verse. The ledger stone has been moved from its original location and now rests against the tomb chest of Ann Wade, located 7 meters north of the west tower of the Church of St Petroc.
