3/50 Roscarrack Mill - II Watermill with integral miller's house. Circa 1872. Roughly coursed killas with granite dressings. Dry Delabole roofs hipped at the front (millhouse) part and half- hipped over the rear end of the mill. Chimneys over rear wall of house. Plan: T-shaped plan. 2 room plan miller's house at the front with central lobby and stair and 1-room-plan mill at right angles behind the middle. Built into the bank on the left. Large (3rd largest in Cornwall) overshot iron water wheel in wheel-pit behind mill. The water wheel is said to have been used to drive machinery to pump water up to Roscarrack House. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south east front (miller's house) with central doorway. Original flush-panelled door. Original 12-pane hornless sashes (also at left-hand end). South mill front has Gothic style features. Granite ashlar plinth. 4-centred arched doorway on the right with jambs and head chamfered on both sides. 3-light chamfered mullioned window on the left and over. Original iron wheel on the left with iron spokes and rim segments. Wooden buckets are removed. Interior not inspected. There is no machinery in the mill.
