Description

Drayness Bridge is a bridge over the River Fowey, rebuilt in 1876. It is constructed of slatestone rubble with granite dressings. The bridge features four spans supported by three piers, which have cutwaters on both the upstream and downstream sides. A datestone is set centrally and projects above the parapet wall on the downstream side. The parapet walls are approximately one metre high and have roughly hewn granite copings. The bridge measures about 14 metres long and about 4 metres wide. Drayness Bridge is similar in construction to Ashford Bridge.
