Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres north of Cripstone Farmhouse, dates from the mid-19th century and serves multiple purposes, including a shippon, stable, cart shed, and hayloft. It features stone rubble walls and a slate roof with gabled ends, creating an L-shaped structure due to a projecting wing at the rear. The building is two storeys tall and has a symmetrical design. On the ground floor, there are two round arched openings with dressed voussoirs and slatted timber doors, which flank a central double arched cartshed also with dressed voussoirs. The first floor has two openings with double timber doors and slate hoods above. The interior has not been inspected.
