Description
This barn, located approximately 10 metres south of Myrtle Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century and may have originally served as stables and a shippon with a loft above. It is constructed of stone rubble with cob on the upper storey and features a thatched roof with gable ends. The building stands two storeys tall. On the west side, there is a loft door above square openings to the left of a plank door, which has been partially patched. The east side facing the road has a square opening with a slatted window and a timber lintel, along with two ventilators at the lower end. Inside, there are four roughly hewn trusses supporting two tiers of trenched purlins.
