Description

The Rectory, originally a rectory and now a private house, was built in 1806, with a later 19th-century extension to the south. It is constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof. The eaves project significantly. The roof is hipped at either end, with a lower roofline over the south extension. Rendered brick stacks are present at the ends of the building and where the two rooflines meet. The west front is symmetrical in its earlier section and features a two-story porch that projects forward. The east (garden) front also features symmetry in its original section. The ground floor of the west front has two tripartite sash windows without horns. The first floor has three 12-pane timber sashes without horns. A section is set back to the left. The ground floor features a canted bay window in the centre, with five lights and timber sashes. The first floor displays two narrow 4-pane timber sashes, one pane wide, flanking a central double 8-pane sash without horns. A circa early 20th-century extension is located on the right (north) with a hipped end. It is a single-story structure with a canted bay window and a glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
