Outbuildings Approximately 20 Metres West Of Tower Hill Farmhouse

The outbuildings located approximately 20 metres west of Tower Hill Farmhouse are farm buildings that include a barn, carriage house, and a probable stable. They date from the early to mid-19th century. The structures feature local rubble walls with oak lintels and rag slate roofs, which are hipped on the left side and adorned with many reused 17th-century crested clay ridge tiles. The stable has a corrugated asbestos roof. The buildings have a long rectangular plan that faces a slope to the left.

The barn, which is two storeys tall, is situated on the left, while the stable is on the right, with a single-storey carriage house in between. The barn has two first-floor loading doorways, with the right one featuring a split door. On the ground floor, there is a central doorway flanked by two windows, a cross window on the left, and a smaller window with an inward-opening four-pane two-light casement on the right, along with a doorway at the far right that has a tent-shaped arch made from a single piece of grown oak. The barn also has old ledged doors.

The carriage house contains four wide doorways, each with pairs of old ledged doors. The left-hand door has a 12-pane two-light overlight, and there is a pigeon hole to its right. The stable has a gable-ended front with a roof that slopes lower on the right side, and it features a doorway with an old ledged door on the left.

Inside, the original floors, partitions, and roof structures have been preserved where inspected. Notably, in the carriage house, there is a circa 1900 mural of pencilled fashion plates created by a former member of the Mudge family on a wooden partition.
