Description
The cross located in the churchyard, approximately 2 meters east of the east wall of the south aisle of the Church of St Allen, is a medieval granite structure. It is the top section of a monolithic cross classified as Class A3. The cross features a tapered shaft with neck flanges and a wheel head, measuring 44 centimeters in diameter and 19 centimeters thick. Each face of the cross has a raised cross, with the cut-away field reducing to a groove that descends to form margins on the shaft. This cross is also scheduled as an ancient monument in Cornwall, number 327.
