Description
The farm buildings at Treworgan House Farm date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are constructed from killas stone with granite dressings and have a scantle slate roof. The layout is 'L'-shaped, featuring a long west range that includes a standard three-bay unit, which is extended to the left by a higher three-bay building. Both sections have a central cart entrance flanked by boarded doors, with a pitching door above the centre. The ground level is used for animal pens, while the upper floor serves as storage, accessed by a ramp from the rear. There is a north block attached at right angles, also three bays wide, with a central entrance and a pitching door above. This block has a gable entrance and square lights on the upper level, and the roof is hipped. Additionally, there is a detached structure on the south side, which was originally a culverhouse and later converted into a smithy. This building is also made of killas, features a slated roof, and has a two-centred arched entrance from the west. Some nest holes are still visible.
