Description
Eglos Erme Farmhouse is a farmhouse constructed from rendered cob with killas stone gables and stacks, topped with a slate roof. The building has a three-bay plan featuring a central stair hall and flanking living rooms. A late 19th-century two-bay addition has been made at right angles to the right, which includes gable stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a central boarded door set in a gabled porch. It has paned sliding casement windows, although the window to the right of the porch was replaced in the late 19th century. The windows have timber lintels, and on the first floor, the right bay features paired windows. At the rear, there is one central stair window. The added block to the right, dating from around 1900, is symmetrical with a central door and overlight within a glazed porch. It has six-paned sash windows with cambered brick lintels and a central stair window at the top rear. Brick stacks are present on the gables. Inside, the living room to the right of the entrance has an open joisted ceiling.
