Description
The gatehouse to Trevella is an early 19th-century structure made of killas and granite. It features a semicircular carriageway arch over the driveway, which has a raised keystone. The first floor has an offset design with chamfered corners, containing a chamber with round-headed casement windows on the east and west sides. Above this, there is a second offset, second-floor storey, also with chamfered corners and round-headed windows. The building has moulded eaves and a pitched slated parapet that conceals a flat roof. At the time of the survey in January 1988, the interior was derelict. A lodge was added on the south side in the mid-20th century, but it is not considered of special interest.
