The Culverhouse at the Old Rectory is a gazebo-style structure from the early to mid-19th century, located in St Allen Village. It is built of stone and features a slate roof. The plan is octagonal, with a door on the west side. There is a pointed arched opening and a boarded door, along with simple rectangular windows on each face at ground floor level. Flight holes are present beneath the eaves above, with a slate ledge on each side. The finial is missing.
Inside, the upper floor contains 12 nest boxes arranged in a single row in the west quadrant. The roof is supported by curved timber with a straight central crosspiece and radial rafters.
