Description

The monument to the Bower family is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 3 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St Bartholomew. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge resting on a moulded plinth. It has fluted corner pilasters topped with egg and dart mouldings. There are paired inscription panels on the north and south sides, and a shield displaying the Bower coat of arms on the east side.
