Description
The Merifield monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 4 metres southeast of the south aisle of the Church of St Enoder. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The headstone has a distinctive shape, featuring a nowy head with projecting arms that end in circles adorned with carved flowers. The sides are scalloped and also have similar terminal circles. It includes valedictory verses and well-executed lettering, commemorating William Merifield, who passed away in 1830.
