Description
The Elsord monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 4 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St Mary. This late 18th-century monument is made of slate and features a scrolled top adorned with a cherub's head and wings. It has an incised border and displays good lettering that includes an admonitory verse. The headstone commemorates Christian Elsord, who passed away in 1794.
