Description

The Veare monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 6 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St Mary in Mary Tavy. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a nowy shape with an incised border, displaying good lettering and a valedictory verse dedicated to George Veare, who passed away in 1779.
