Description

The small barn located approximately 40 metres south west of Trewoofe Farmhouse is a grade II listed building, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. This bank barn features a granary above a cartshed and a stable basement, and has been converted into living accommodation. The structure is built from roughly-coursed granite rubble with granite dressings and has a wet-laid scantle slate roof with gable ends.

The barn has a rectangular plan, with the former cartshed on the left and the stable on the right. It is built into the bank at the rear, allowing for almost level access to the central loft doorway at the back. The barn is two storeys high, with unaltered elevations except for a tall 20th-century window opening at the left-hand end. The east front features ground floor openings only, including a doorway to the left of the middle and another on the right (which is now a window), with small window openings adjacent to each doorway. The left-hand end originally had a wide wagon doorway. The rear has a central doorway, a small window opening on the left, and a ventilator on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
