Description

ST BURYAN TREWOOFE SW 42 NW 5/171 Small barn at approximately 40 metres south west of Trewoofe 9.6.77 Farmhouse GV II Bank barn with granary over cartshed and stable basement, now converted to living accommodation. C18 or early C19. Roughly-coursed granite rubble with granite dressings. Wet-laid scantle slate roof with gable ends. Plan: Rectangular plan with former cartshed on the left, stable on-the right. Built into the bank at rear giving almost level access to central loft doorway at the rear. Exterior: 2 storeys. Unaltered elevations except for tall C20 window opening at left-hand end. East front has ground floor openings only. Doorway left of middle and on the right (now window) with small window opening on the left of each doorway. Left-hand end originally had wide waggon doorway. Rear has central doorway, small opening window on the left and ventilator on the right. Interior not inspected.
