Description

This is a milestone located on Angarrack Lane in Gwinear-Gwithian, dating from the 18th century. It is a square-on-plan, pyramidal-headed monolith made of dressed granite. The letters and Arabic numerals are carved in relief. On the front (southeast side), it indicates "21 -- L" for Lands End, while the left-hand side shows "11 -- P" for Penzance.
