Description

Nos. 13 and 13A on Broad Street is a town house with a later shop, dating from the 18th century on a 17th-century site. The building features incised stucco on rubble and has a steep Delabole slate roof with a coved cornice. There is a tall rendered brick stack on the right side. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The windows are 20th-century four-pane, 2-light casements. The doorway, located to the far right, has a mid-20th-century panelled door. On the left, there is a late 19th-century double shop front with a splayed central doorway, a glazed door with an overlight, slender mullions with carved spandrels, a carved pierced ventilator above the end pilasters, and a simple entablature with a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
