Description
No 8 Canadian Terrace is the end house in a terrace built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from rendered stone rubble and features a slate roof, which has a gable end on the left and a hipped end on the right, topped with a brick chimney stack. The building has a one-room plan with the entrance on the left, likely leading to a stair hall, and it is further extended to the rear with a one-room wing.
The house is two storeys high and has a regular single-window front. The ground floor openings have brick segmental arches, with a part-glazed 20th-century door to the left and a tall, likely 20th-century 24-pane sash window with horns to the right. There is a similar window above on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected. This property is included for its group value as part of a largely unaltered 19th-century terrace of eight cottages.
