Description

The quay wall at SW707263 dates from the 18th century and is constructed of vertically set shale rubble with dressed granite copings. It is flanked by 19th-century rebuilt rubble, which also features granite copings. To the far left (east), the walls have been rebuilt in the 20th century and are not included in this listing. This quay is located opposite the more complete and impressive Constantine quay. While these remains are modest, they play an important role in the group of structures in this beautiful creek at the head of the Helford River.
