Description
Beechfield is a house built around 1800, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front is made of brick, while the left side is slate-hung and rendered. It features a slate roof with ridge cresting and deep eaves with a box cornice. The layout is a double depth plan, with an entrance hall on the left, two rooms on the right, and a rear stair hall to the left that leads to a service wing.
The building has three storeys and one window on the front. The ground and first floors have 16-pane sash windows, and there is a six-panelled door with an overlight to the left. The second floor has three windows, with the central one being blind and the outer ones being 12-pane sashes. The windows on the ground and first floors have gauged brick heads.
Inside, the room on the front right features a moulded plaster cornice. There is a dog-leg stair with stick balusters in the stair hall to the rear left. The integral service wing includes a kitchen on the ground floor, which retains a moulded mantel above the fireplace on the left side.
