Description

This is a probably 18th-century house and adjoining cottage located in Perranzabule, Bolingey. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and rendered cob, with the upper floor at the front rendered. It has timber lintels and a steep asbestos slate roof, likely originally thatched. Brick chimneys rise from the gable ends and over the cross party wall separating the house and cottage.

The plan likely has a double-depth layout (the rear was not inspected). The main house (to the left) initially had two rooms at the front, flanking an entrance lobby or cross passage. The adjoining cottage (to the right) originally comprised one room at the front and an entrance lobby on its left side.

The exterior is two storeys and has a three-window front. The main house has a symmetrical two-window front with a central doorway, containing an old ledged door. The cottage has a single-window front and a 20th-century replacement door on the left. All windows are circa early 19th century, with 16-pane hornless sashes.

The interior was not inspected.
