Description
This is an 18th-century headstone located about 6 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Hydroc in the churchyard. It is made of slate and features a square head with an incised nowy head on the inscription panel. At the top, there is a primitive face carved, and the lettering is arranged in upper case in a semi-circle around it, reading "MEMENTO MORI." On either side of the inscription, there are symbols of an hourglass and crossed bones. The headstone commemorates Jane and includes verses dated 1742.
