Description

This is an early 19th-century row of eight medium-sized houses, numbered 12 to 19, Regent Terrace in Penzance. The houses are two storeys and have an attic and a semi-basement. Each house has three windows. They are stuccoed, with the exception of number 13, which is pebble-dashed, and have a granite plinth. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and small sill aprons. A string course runs along the facade. The houses originally featured open porches with entablatures supported on Tuscan or Ionic columns, but the porches to numbers 14 and 15 have been encased or replaced. A flight of steps with plain iron railings leads to the doorways. Each house has two slate-hung hipped dormers in the roof. Houses 12 to 23 form a cohesive group.
