3/60 Trewoon Farmhouse -

Farmhouse. Circa late C18 or early C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate half-hipped roof, replaced with asbestos slate at rear where it sweeps lower over an integral outshut and roofed with scantle slate over the adjoining single-storey dairy. Brick chimneys over the side walls. Cast-iron ogee-section gutters. Plan: Double-depth plan house with 2 rooms at the front flanking an entrance hall leading to a stair hall between a back kitchen on the right and a pantry at rear left. Behind the pantry is a probably slightly later dairy. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front with central doorway and window of the same width over. Circa late C19 or early C20 windows and door in original openings. 5-panel door with 2 glazed top panels plus overlight; open-gabled wooden porch with shaped barge board and finial over shaped brackets. 4-pane horned sashes. Paired sashes in wide openings at left and right. Rear has C19 4-panel door with later glazed top panels and overlight; probably original 16-pane horizontally sliding sliding stair sash and 18-pane (bottom row of panes boarded) 3-light back kitchen window with horizontally sliding middle light. Interior not inspected.
