Description
Two barns form the west side of the yard at Ham Mill Farm, dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble, with a corrugated asbestos roof on the left barn that has hipped ends, and a lower rag slate roof on the right barn, also with a hipped end.
The barns are arranged as two rectangular bank barns that create the western boundary of the farmyard. The ground rises at the rear, where there is a line of open stalls extending from the back of the left barn.
The left barn is slightly set forward and features a higher roof. Its front elevation has been altered; a wide two-storey opening has been partly blocked, and slate has been hung on the first floor, which now includes a three-light window and plank double doors at ground level. The right barn has stable-type doors on both the ground and first floors. It also has wide double doors positioned to the right of center, with a door and window to the left and another window to the right. The first floor includes a door to the left and three windows fitted with timber louvers.
The interior has not been inspected.
