Description
The Brian monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 3 metres southeast of the south aisle of the Church of St Ciricius and St Julitta in Luxulyan. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a curved top with an incised border and a cherub with wings at the top, along with an admonitory quatrain. On the reverse side, the initials JB, WB, JB are inscribed in uppercase lettering. This monument commemorates John Brian, who died in 1784, as well as other family members.
