Description

LINKINHORNE SX 37 NW 3/10 Gullacombe Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. Late C18, with addition of mid C19 and few later alterations. Slatestone rubble, front slate-hung at upper level. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable end stacks with brick shafts and cornices. Plan: 2-room plan, with central entrance, each room heated by a gable end stack. Attached to rear an outshut of single storey with loft, along the whole rear. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front, all windows late C18 2-light casements at fist floor, of 15-panes, with HL hinges. Ground floor has central porch with hipped roof, slate-hung, with inner C19 half-glazed door. Attached to left small single storey C20 addition. Attached to right, one storey and loft outshut, slate-hung at upper level with a 4-pane light. Right side has a plain door in the outshut with strap hinges, and 4-pane light. Upper gable end rendered. Left side has C20 window at ground floor to left. At the rear, the outshut has an external stone stair to a plain door. 2-light window to left and 2 roof lights. Door to left. Interior: Not inspected.
