Description

REDRUTH EAST END SW 74 SW (west side) 6/261 Milepost attached to front wall of No.32 II Milepost. Probably C18. Roughly dressed granite. Approx. 30cm square in section and approx. 1½ metres high, with a chamfered foot and pyramidal top. Near the top of the left side and the front are sunk panels with large crudely-formed raised lettering:- 18 28 P I (and a modern benchmark lower down on the front). Similar to milepost in grounds of Rosewarne Home Farm, Tehidy Road, Camborne (item 4/90, q.v.).
