Description
The cross located approximately 1 metre south of the Church of St Credan in Sancreed is a Grade II* listed structure. This pre-Conquest cross is a tall wheel-headed granite monolith with a rectangular base. The tall shaft features incised intersecting or chevron decoration on all four sides. The wheel-head displays an Alisee patee cross in bold relief, with a depiction of the crucifixion on one side and a central boss on the other. It is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, number 641.
