Description

SANCREED SANCREED SW 42 NW 5/289 Cross at approximately 1 metre - south of Church of St Credan GV II* Cross. Pre-Conquest. Tall wheel-headed granite monolith. Rectangular on plan. Tall shaft has incised intersecting or chevron decoration to all 4 sides. Wheel-head has Alisee patee cross in bold relief with crucifixion to one side and central boss to the other side. Scheduled Ancient Monument 641.
