The Art Gallery is an early 18th-century building located on Newlyn Fore Street. It features a stuccoed exterior and a steep slate roof with a half-hipped end that faces the harbour. On the first floor, there is a large late 19th-century splayed bay window, with a doorway located beneath it. The side elevation facing Trewarveth Street includes a first-floor sash window and a small shop window on the ground floor, which is flanked by pilasters and a fascia. Additionally, there is a large chimney stack on the side and external stone steps leading to a first-floor doorway that has a glazed porch.
