Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage located in Newlyn, with a two-storey extension to the rear. The exterior is rendered and painted, topped with a replacement slate roof featuring gabled ends and a brick stack on the northeast gable. The front elevation, facing southeast, has a central entrance with a modern gabled porch, flanked by later sash windows. Two dormer windows, each with a hipped roof, are positioned above. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is considered a good example of an early 18th-century vernacular building and demonstrates local construction techniques, using distinctive materials and methods.
