Description
This is a house located immediately north of the Barley Sheaf Inn, built around 1830-1840 with some 20th-century alterations. The structure is made of elvan stone rubble with granite dressings and features a hipped asbestos slate roof, with tiles along the ridge and hips. The house has a double depth plan, with a central entrance and principal rooms on the front left and right, while service rooms are likely at the back.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. All windows are late 19th-century four-pane sashes set in their original openings, which are topped with cambered stone arches and keystones. The central doorway features an original doorcase with a reeded architrave, cornice, and panelled reveals, although the door itself is from the 20th century. On the left side, there is a central 20th-century French window and a late 19th-century four-pane sash in its original opening, with a segmental arch above it on the first floor to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
