Description

A pair of attached houses located on Pembroke Road, Clifton, built around 1840. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar with lateral and party wall stacks and a pantile hipped roof. They have a double-depth plan, three storeys and a basement, and a two-window front. The facade is symmetrical, featuring pilasters defining shallow wings, first and second floor sill bands and eaves. The doorways, situated in the returns, have impost detail, and are fitted with six-panel doors with sidelights and overlights. The remaining windows are tripartite with architraves and contain six-over-six pane sashes, with some having horizontal bars. Number 7 has a canted inner bay. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. These houses form a pair with numbers 9 and 11.
