Description
This is a gas lamp post located approximately 10 meters northeast of the gates to the Church of St George on Brandon Hill. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp post features a fluted shaft and a switch bar, topped with a square lantern that was added in the late 20th century. The lamp has been converted to electricity.
