Description

Number 25A is a coach house that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century and underwent conversion in the late 20th century. The building is finished in stucco with limestone dressings and coursed Pennant rubble, topped with a slate hipped roof. It has a single-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, featuring a three-window range.

The façade includes a cornice band and a parapet. The left-of-centre semicircular-arched doorway has a key and imposts, a plate-glass fanlight, and a 20th-century door. To the left, there is a flat-headed door with an overlight. The central ground-floor window is semicircular-arched, flanked by three square windows with stone surrounds below the cornice. The right-hand side features a 3/3-pane sash window, with 20th-century casements above it, and another 3/3-pane sash to the right. There are also paired right-hand segmental-arched carriage doors with strap hinges.

The property has attached rubble and coursed stone walls in the front area, along with large coursed rubble gate piers. It was originally built as a mews for Number 25. The interior has not been inspected.
