Description

This gas lamp post, located on the east corner of Charlotte Street South and Great George Street in Bristol, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a fluted shaft with a switch bar. The lamp has been converted to electricity and is topped with a square lantern that was added in the late 20th century.
