Description

St Brandon's House, now an office, is an attached house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of brick with limestone dressings and features party wall stacks, although the roof is not visible. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in a mid-Georgian style, standing three storeys high with a basement and a five-window range. It has pilasters that support a cornice and parapet. The doorway, located between the left-hand windows, is adorned with pilasters leading to a pediment, a semicircular arch, a fanlight, and a six-panel door. The windows feature flat brick arches with 6/6-pane sashes, while the second floor has 3/3-pane windows.

Inside, the property has been extensively restored, showcasing a semicircular arch in the central stairwell, which includes a left-hand dogleg stair with column balusters and a moulded rail. The house is complemented by attached front area wrought-iron railings and gates that extend continuously to No. 25. It is possibly a copy of a late 18th-century house and is now internally linked with No. 28, which is not included in this listing.
