Description
This is a gas lamp post located approximately 2 metres north of number 23 on Great George Street in Bristol. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp post features a moulded base leading up to a fluted shaft, which includes a switch bar. At the top, there is a square lantern that was added in the late 20th century. The lamp post has been converted to electricity.
