Description
The steps, walls, piers, gates, and lamps in front of the Church of St George on Brandon Hill were constructed around 1823. They are made of pennant ashlar stone, with wrought-iron and cast-iron elements. The structure features four flights of steps, with flanking piers at the second flight and a wall behind the steps. At the top of the first flight, there are spear gates topped with ball finials. Additionally, two gas lamps are situated at the top of the second flight, mounted on fluted pedestals with acanthus capitals, featuring a tapered shaft and glazed lamp.
