Description

This is an arc lamp post designed in 1898 by H.F. Proctor, located approximately 30 metres southwest of the junction with Northcote Road in Clifton, Bristol. The lamp post is made of cast iron and features a fluted base that has a panel displaying the City crest. It has a tapering shaft that leads to a foliate top, which is turned over into a half-circle adorned with curly brackets supporting a lamp that has a cast flower. The lamp has been relamped.
