Description

This is an arc lamp post located approximately 40 metres south-west of Avonbank in Clifton, Bristol. It was designed in 1898 by H.F. Proctor and is made of cast iron. The lamp post features a wide moulded base with panels that display the City crest. The shaft tapers upwards and is topped with a foliate design that curves into a half-circle, adorned with curly brackets supporting the lamp and a cast-iron flower. The lamp has been relamped.
