Description

This is a cast-iron arc lamp post, located approximately 3 metres east of number 6 on Prince's Buildings in Clifton, Bristol. It was designed in 1898 by H.F. Proctor. The lamp post features a fluted base with a panel displaying the city crest. It has a tapering shaft that culminates in a foliate top, which is turned over into a half circle adorned with curly brackets and a cast flower. The lamp has been relamped.
