Description

This is a terrace of seven houses, now shops, located in Bristol. The buildings date to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. They are constructed of brick with limestone dressings, featuring brick party wall stacks and a pantile roof. Each house has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, with a two-window range to each house except for number 1, which has three windows. The terrace is unified by pilasters and a continuous moulded parapet coping. The ground floors have 20th-century shop fronts. Number 8 features a 19th-century public house front with a bowed plate glass window and flanking doorways. The window surrounds have a cambered top with five stepped voussoirs. Number 1 has been extensively restored and features 12/12-pane and 6/6-pane sashes in flush frames. The roofs have raised full-width attic lights and single rear dormers. The interiors have been altered.
