Description
Nos. 9 and 10 on St Augustine's Parade in Bristol are a terrace of three attached houses, which have been converted into shops. They were built in the mid to late 18th century and feature a rendered exterior with limestone dressings and a pantile roof. The buildings have a double-depth plan and rise three storeys with an attic, displaying a window arrangement of two: one: two. The shop fronts were updated in the 20th century and include pilaster strips leading to cornices and a parapet, with a small gable on No. 10. The windows are sash style with glazing bars; No. 8 has decorative architraves and console cornices on the first floor, along with a frieze and cornice beneath the attic storey. No. 9 features consoles supporting shallow pediments above 8/8-pane sashes on the first floor, with a cornice and parapet, while No. 10 has five stepped voussoirs above its 8/8-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
