Description

This late 19th-century drinking fountain is located on Clifton Down, approximately 30 metres north-west of number 12 Gloucester Row, Bristol. It is constructed from cast iron and granite. The fountain sits on a square granite plinth. A central fountain is sheltered by four fluted cast-iron columns, each with square bases and octagonal capitals, supporting an openwork dome. The dome features cusped semicircular-arched sides with round panels.
