Description
A pair of attached houses dating circa 1780. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, featuring a shared party wall stack and a pantile roof. They are built on a double-depth plan and represent a late Georgian style. Each house has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a two-window front. The symmetrical front of No. 25 features a moulded coping. A large, 20th-century doorcase sits above the paired doorways, incorporating attached columns, an entablature with triglyphs, a steep pediment, batswing fanlights, and six-panel doors; the lower pair are flush, and the upper pair are glazed. Tripartite ground-floor and outer first-floor windows have 2/2-pane sashes with margin panes, while the inner windows on the first floor are 6/6-pane sashes. Each house has a single 20th-century dormer window. Inside, the entrance hall contains an open winder dogleg staircase with an uncut string, stick balusters, column newels, and a ramped rail. Also present are panelled door reveals, six-panel doors, panelled shutters, and dados. Attached to the property are wrought-iron basement area gates and railings.
