Description

The Jubilee Drinking Fountain, built in 1897, is located in Stoke Bishop, Bristol. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar with a timber and tiled roof, and features a granite fountain. The structure is octagonal in shape, with panelled plinths that support Ionic columns. These columns hold up a roof topped with a lead cap and an iron finial. The fountain has alternate open semicircular arches, and inside, there is a turned basin, a square fountain, and an urn on top. This fountain was presented by Francis Tagart to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
