Description
Stoke Bishop Village Hall is a village hall built in 1885 by Edward Gabriel. The building features a snecked red Pennant ground floor and a tile-hung first floor, with brick stacks and a tiled roof. It is designed in a Domestic Revival style and consists of two storeys with a two-window range.
The prominent left-hand gable includes a full-height glazed bay with curved sides and eight transomed lights, featuring a central Ipswich window. The deep eaves are supported by moulded brackets, and above the window is an overhanging half-timbered gable that displays a pargeted strapwork panel inscribed "STOKEBISHOP HALL AD 1885." To the right, there is an open gabled porch supported by arch-braced columns, with a four-light first-floor casement window above a half-glazed two-leaf door and side windows. A projecting chimney breast is located to the right of the porch. The interior has not been inspected.
